I am often enamored by the scale, complexity and beauty of ancient trees. 
Riding my Big Wheel makes me happy. 
Playing my guitar makes me happy. 
Riding my bike makes me happy. Feeling dorky at age 14 did not. Let’s embrace both, shall we? 
Mowing the lawn made me happy back in the day. I don’t like mowing the lawn any more. Batman was very popular in 1989. 
Bowling makes me happy. 
Hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina makes me happy. 
Staring into Kim’s eyes in the middle of the street makes me happy. 
Taking a family road trip makes me happy. 
Pickled Peach in Davidson, NC is one of our all-time favorite spots to eat and hang out.

Say hello to our 1959 Philco Predicta Debutante we picked up at @sleepypoetcharlotte yesterday. We’re planning to use the bottom shelf to hold some rack-mounted gear such as our 10G Network Switch for our NAS and our @blackmagicnewsofficial UltraStudio 4K. There are few things more satisfying than combining the old and the new - honoring the past while creating the future.

Look what I bought myself for Christmas - my old boombox in perfect condition! This song was the one that put a crack in my parent’s “no Rock music” policy for me when I was a kid. I first heard Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” on the Coopersburg Elementary School playground in 1981 from a big fifth grader’s boom box and I was smitten. What a perfect rock song! I couldn’t get it out of my head and I didn’t want to!
Then the guilt - “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll!”. No I don’t. But I do! Ahhh!
This song is still floating in the air waiting to be tuned in and amplified all these years later, and my Radio Shack boombox and I couldn’t be happier about it!

We are excited to collaborate with @nostalgiachocolates on a limited run of a very special chocolate bar this Christmas season.
@nostalgiachocolates is a local shop run by chocolatier Tyler Cagwin @tyc315 specializing in small batch bean to bar chocolate, handmade in Huntersville, NC, bringing out cacao’s natural flavors. Think single origin coffee culture meeting the cacao bean.
We are very privileged to have chocolate of this quality local to Huntersville, NC - so this year we decided to celebrate by sharing the joy with the people that have made our small business successful over the past decade! @nostalgiachocolates is so local, in fact, that @kimmyschroter and I could walk a few blocks this morning to pick up the chocolate bars together - and of course we had to immediately try a sample! 🍫☕️👌 We can’t wait to share with you all!
The chocolate bar we picked is “On Watch” - 70% Colombian Dark Chocolate with Coffee. The coffee, which is also hand roasted by Tyler, is from the Hulia region of Colombia. We asked Tyler to add just a bit more coffee than he usually goes with in order to bring the coffee forward just a tad. The result is spectacular!
We will be gifting these to our regular clients and collaborators this holiday season, but ordered enough that we should have some extras to give away as Christmas approaches!
